What You Get, and What It Costs
Hello, I’m Chris
Being Honest About Google
Questions People Ask
£695 covers a five-page website. If you need more pages or anything unusual, I’ll quote you a fixed price before we start. You will never get an invoice you weren’t expecting.
Less than you’d probably expect. Your logo if you have one, any photos you’d like used, and a conversation about what your business does. Most of it happens over email or WhatsApp, whichever suits you. You don’t need to have the site written before we start, and there’s no long questionnaire to fill in.
Between us. If you’ve already got copy, I’ll work with it. If you haven’t, I’ll draft something and you tell me what’s wrong with it, which is a much easier starting point than a blank page. Either way it ends up your copy in your voice, because it’s your business and you know it better than I do. What I bring is knowing how to word things so they work for search as well as for the person reading them.
I don’t count them. We work on it until you’re happy with it, rather than stopping after a fixed two rounds. The only thing I’d flag is that if a request turns into a genuinely different website, I’ll say so and quote it separately rather than quietly stretching the job.
Often inside a week. The thing that normally holds these projects up is waiting on copy, so if you haven’t got yours written I’ll draft something to work from rather than leave you staring at a blank page. That keeps things moving.
Yes. The design, the content and the domain are yours. If you ever want to leave, I’ll hand over your files and help you move.
Yes, they’re included in the £35 a month. Proper business inboxes on your own domain rather than a personal address, and I’ll set them up on your phone and computer for you.
Because £5 buys you server space and nothing else. The £35 covers enterprise UK hosting with a content network and server-level caching, business email, two full backups a day stored separately, daily malware scanning, a firewall, weekly updates tested on a staging copy, and an hour of changes whenever you need them. It’s a care plan, not a hosting account.
I take two full backups every day and store them separately from your live site, so even if something happens to the server itself, your site comes back. Usually in minutes. Malware scanning runs daily and I get told before you notice.
No, and nobody can promise that. What I can promise is a site built properly for search from day one, which is where every ranking starts.
Small ones, yes. Large catalogues with hundreds of products are a different kind of project and I’ll tell you honestly if you need more than I offer.
